Kaleb Lane Cooksey, age 24, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, was born on Thursday, February 29, 1996, to Harold Dean III and Lisa Marie (Walton) Cooksey, at Durant, OK. Kaleb passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Antlers, OK. He attended Harmony and Atoka Public Schools and graduated from Tushka High School in 2014. Kaleb was a transmission lineman for multiple power companies. He married Shelbi (Hamer) on Friday, June 2nd, 2017 at Fittstown, OK. Kaleb was affiliated with the Church of the Rock in Lane, OK. He loved fishing, hunting, being on the back of a horse, cutting up and joking with his friends,loved to aggravate, and especially loved playing with his babies.
Kaleb is survived by his wife, Shelbi Cooksey of the home in Atoka, OK; parents, Harold Dean III and Lisa Marie (Walton) Cooksey of Atoka, OK; children, Braelynn Grace Cooksey of Atoka, OK, Brixton Lane Cooksey of Atoka, OK; brother, Weston Kyler Cooksey and wife Kimberly and niece or nephew coming soon of Atoka, OK; grandparents, Johnny "Poppa" and Sharon "Granny" Walton of Atoka, OK, Poppa J.R. Cooksey of Atoka, OK, Nana Karen Caves and husband Papa Leo of Lane, OK; great grandfather, Harold Cooksey of Atoka, OK; aunts, Aunt Kim Elliott and Uncle Wayne of Atoka, OK, Aunt Misti "MeMe" Cooksey of Atoka, OK, Aunt "Chel" Chelsey Renee Rhodes and husband Chuck of Yoakum, TX; cousins, Rayle "Ray Ray" Elliott of Atoka, OK, Falon Cooksey of Lane, OK; mother and father in law, Leona Hensley of Centrahoma, OK, Billy Hamer of Coalgate, OK; along with many great aunts, great uncles, cousins, other relatives and many dear and loved friends. He is survived by many people who love and cherish him who will carry his spirit forever.

Kaleb was preceded in death by his great grandmothers, Lucille Cooksey, Maxine Hunter, Lillian Walton, Shirley Lee; great grandfathers, Louis Hunter, Johnnie Lee; uncle, Jerry "Peevine" Hunter; best friends, Jacob Murray, Dylan Sanders.
