Karen Lyn (Penny) Johnson, a Coalgate resident, was born on September 24, 1950, to Thomas Eugene and Alice Irene (Clouse) Penny, at Santa Maria, CA. She was called home on July 12, 2022 at her home in Coalgate, OK at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 18 days. Karen was an environmental service specialist for Mary Hurley Hospital and Ruth Wilson Hurley Manor. She married Frank Jerry Johnson on July 3, 1980 at Milburn, OK. They enjoyed 34 wonderful years together before his passing on February 6, 2015. Karen attended the Stringtown Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing games on her phone and crocheting. Her favorite times were spent with her family. If you were her friend, she treated you like family. Her smile lit up the world.

Along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of dearly loved friends
