OBITUARY NAME: Kathryn Louise Parker" Glover, age 91, a longtime Tushka area resident, was presently living at the Calera Manor Nursing Home. BORN: She was born on July 14, 1920 at Bokchito, Ok. to Robert Lee Parker and Martha Elizabeth "Carpenter" Parker . PASSED AWAY: Kathryn passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012 in the Calera Manor at Calera, Ok AGE: 91 years, 6 months and 13 days. EDUCATION: She graduated from Bokchito High School and she received her Bachelors and Masters Degree from the Southeastern Oklahoma State University at Durant in English, Home Economics, and Elementary Education. OCCUPATION: Kathryn worked as a teacher for many years at Jack Creek, Monroe, Fanshaw, Bentley and retired from teaching at Harmony Grade School. She taught for over 30 years and loved all of her students. MARRIED: She married Ray Arlington Glover on January 22, 1938 at Durant, Ok. He preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 1996. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Kathryn was a longtime member of the Tushka Baptist Church, where she was also a Sunday School Teacher. She loved gardening, quilting and family gatherings and picnics. SURVIVED BY BROTHER: David Parker of Durant, Ok. DAUGHTER-IN-LAWS: Rosa Glover of Tushka, Ok. Sue Glover of Monroe, Ok. GRANDCHILDREN: Ray Glover and wife, Bobbi of Monroe, OK. Jim Glover and wife, Debra of Checotah, Ok. Lora Rogers and husband David of Tushka, Ok. Lisa Crawford and husband Kevin of Marlow, Ok. Amy Price and husband, Andy of Coalgate, Ok. Misty Enger and Josh of Monroe, Ok. 15 Great Grandchildren and 8 Great Great Grandchildren and another to be here on Tuesday.
