Keith Wayne Cox, age 73, a Atoka, OK resident for the past 6 years, formerly from Oklahoma City and Silver City, NM, was born on Friday, October 20, 1944, to Daniel Strong and Linnie Belle (Bowen) Cox, at Dumas, TX. Keith passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Durant, OK. He attended Sunray and Dumas school in Texas, 8th grade up at Tushka Public School where he graduated as Valedictorian in 1963. Keith attended Southeastern and then joined the military, then attended Arizona State Univ. where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree. Keith was a Electrical  engineer for Phoenix News from 1985 - 1990, then he worked for Asarco in New Mexico from 1990 - 1994. He then went to work for Dolese Corps in Oklahoma City where he retired in 2006.  Keith proudly served his nation in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Sandra Ann Smith who preceded him in death. Keith later married Judy who also preceded him in death. Keith was non denominational. He loved music, watching movies and playing with his grandkids. Keith is survived by his 4 children, Cheryl Yarbrough and husband Levon of Hereford, AZ, Crystal Miller of Antlers, OK, Clayton Wayne Cox and wife Kristie of Hereford, AZ,  Clinton John Cox of Hereford, AZ; grandchildren, Danielle Martin and husband Robert of Sierra Vista, AZ, Lee Yarbrough and sister Sandra Yarbrough of Hereford, AZ, Alycia Cox of Hereford, AZ, Austin Cox of Hereford, AZ,  Audrey Cox of Hereford, AZ, Aaron Cox of Hereford, AZ, Troy Ferestad of Hereford, AZ, Dillon Cox of Hereford, AZ,  Kelsey Cox of Hereford, AZ, Billy Cox of Hereford, AZ; great grandchildren, Robert Martin III, Madelyn Martin, of Sierra Vista, AZ; sister, Thyra Gudgel of Boggy Depot, OK; brothers, Billy Cox of St. Louis, MO, Charles Bolt of Cleburne, TX; along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Keith is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Strong and Linnie Belle (Bowen) Cox; wives, Sandra Cox, Judy Cox; brother, Enith Bolt.
