Kelly Burleson King, age 59, a lifelong resident of Atoka County, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on March 2, 2026, with her loving husband by her side.
Kelly was born on March 11, 1966, in Durant, Oklahoma, to Jack Burleson Jr. and Sherry June (Moore) Burleson. She grew up in Atoka County and attended Tushka Schools, graduating with the Class of 1984.
In 1983, Kelly married her high school sweetheart, Carl Dewayne Eaves. From this union, three daughters were born: Heather, MaRanda, and Ashley..
Kelly later married Randy King of Atoka, Oklahoma in 2011. Through this marriage, Kelly gained two stepchildren, Ambri Fuller and Baily King, whom she loved and welcomed as her own.
Kelly earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She later taught Family and Consumer Sciences (Home Economics), where she touched the lives of many students through her kindness, patience, and dedication to teaching.
Kelly enjoyed many things in life that reflected her creative and adventurous spirit. She loved cooking, sewing, and crafting, and she enjoyed taking spontaneous back-road trips and exploring new places. She especially loved the ocean and the mountains.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Sherry Burleson; her brother, Randy Burleson; and her granddaughter, Madison Jackson.
Kelly is survived by her loving husband, Randy King of Atoka, Oklahoma; her daughters, Heather Eaves-Jackson and husband Dustin of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; MaRanda Eaves-Cole and husband Chris of Peggs, Oklahoma; and Ashley Eaves-Vaughn and husband James of Coleman, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Ambri Fuller and husband Tyler of Moyers, Oklahoma, and Baily King of Stringtown, Oklahoma.
She is further survived by her grandchildren: Regan Jackson, Kinley Eubanks, Dakota Vaughn, Logan Vaughn, Chance Vaughn, Brealee King, and Tamara Jane Fuller, Bowen Fuller.
Kelly is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will dearly miss her.
Kelly will be remembered for her creative spirit, and the joy she found in caring for her family and others. She leaves behind many precious memories that will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
