Kenneth Lee Chaffin, age 84, a lifelong Atoka County resident was born on Thursday, December 6, 1934, to Lonnie Hester and Nola Mae (Wilson) Chaffin, at Stringtown, OK. Kenneth passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Atoka, OK. He graduated from Stringtown High School in 1956 and later on graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 1980, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Science Education. Kenneth  retired after 20 years of service in the U.S Navy , after retirement Kenneth was a truck driver, teacher and a carpenter. Kenneth proudly served his country in the Navy for 20 years. He married Lillie Bell (Scott) on Saturday, December 4th, 1954 at Durant, OK. They had 64 wonderful years together. Kenneth was a long time member and deacon of Stringtown Baptist Church. He loved playing golf, fishing, riding motorcycles, woodworking, and gardening.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Lil  Chaffin of the home. children, Ron Chaffin and wife Carol or Tomball, TX, Donna Sue Chaffin of Tulsa, OK, Roland Chaffin and wife Brenda of Tecumseh, OK, Scott Chaffin of Terre Haute, IN; brother, Johnny Chaffin of Atoka, OK; sister, Darlene Chaffin Allen and husband Maurice of Richland Hills, TX; sisters-in-law: Carolyn Chaffin of Tulsa, OK,  Linda Chaffin of Marlow, OK; 10 grandchldren, 16 great grandchildren,along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear and loved friends.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Hester and Nola Mae (Wilson) Chaffin; son, Kenneth Lee Chaffin Jr,; granddaughter, Baby Girl Durbin; grandsons, Jared Michael Chaffin, Kenneth Andrews Chaffin; brothers,James Roy Chaffin, Lonnie Chaffin Jr. Baby Boy Chaffin.
