Kenneth Woodrow Sheffield, age 66, a Calera, OK resident for the past 7 months, raised in Lane, and longtime in Ferris, TX, was born on Friday, May 25, 1951, to Ezekiel Woodrow and Voda Ellen (Crain) Sheffield, at Lane, OK.
Kenneth passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Colbert, OK. He attended school at Lane thru the 8th grade, graduated from Atoka High School and attended East Central University. Kenneth was a a self employed caterer in Texas.
He married Jacki Ridgway on June 26, 1981 at Sherman TX. He later married Bobbie Pledger in December 1988 at Greenville, TX. Kenneth was baptized in and a member of Lane Baptist Church. He loved all sports, fishing, old western moves, watching his granddaughter play basketball, softball, watching football and enjoyed horseback riding. He loved his grandchild and spending time with her.
Kenneth is survived by his mother, Voda Sheffield of Lane, OK; wife, Bobbie Sheffield of Odessa, TX; mother of his children, Jacki Ridgway of Colbert, OK; children, Ashley Mathis and husband Dustin of Wilmer, TX, Allison Key of Colbert, OK, Patrick Sheffield of Corpus Christi, TX; son in law, Daniel Key of Colbert, OK; grandchild, Erin Key of Colbert, OK; in law, Leon and Sharon Crites of Caney, OK; sisters, Carol Clemens and husband Gary of Atoka, OK,  Norma Burke and husband Howard of Justin, TX, Phyllis Ridgeway of Justin, TX, Donna Berry and husband Cliff of Atoka, OK; brothers, Sam Crain of Lane, OK, Troy Sheffield of Lane, OK, Darrin Sheffield and wife Lisa of Ada, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his father, Zeak Sheffield; grandson, Dillon Cole Mathis; sister in law, Lajuna Crain; niece, Katrina Ridgeway; nephew,  Steven Sullivan.
