Obituary Kenneth Charles Turrentine, age 76, an Atoka, OK. resident for the past 31 years was born on Tuesday, October 13, 1936, to Charlie and Nellie (Smith) Turrentine, at Red Oak, OK. Kenneth passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Denison, TX. He graduated from Stigler High School, then attended Texas A&M and later received his Bachelors degree from OU. Kenneth was retired from the Air Force, a longtime CPA and Accountant. Kenneth proudly served his country during Vietnam in U. S. Air Force for 20 years he received a bronze star. He married Jeanette (Smith) on February 11, 1956 at Wichita Falls, TX. Kenneth was a longtime member and deacon at First Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher, director, and was the President of the church's Golden Jubilee. He was also member of Atoka's Rotary Club and Atoka County Chamber of Commerce. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Jeanette Turrentine of the home in Atoka, OK.; sons, Tony Turrentine of Denver, CO., Ray Turrentine of Euless, TX., Steve Turrentine and wife Carlee of Atoka, OK.; grandchildren, Eli Turrentine of Atoka, OK., Emmalee Turrentine of Atoka, OK.; brother, Dr. James Turrentine and wife Regina of Ardmore, OK.; uncle and aunts, Homer and Louis Smith of Stigler, OK., Edna Faye Brown of Stigler, OK. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
