Lana Kay Justus, age 61, an Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Sunday, April 5, 1964, to Hershel Hoyt and Mary Edith (Prater) Justus, at Atoka, OK. Lana passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Durant, OK. She graduated from Atoka High School with the Class of '83. Lana also attended the Kiamichi Vo-Tech and completed her Certification of Business Administration. She was a Vault Employee at the Casino and a Homemaker. Lana was of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the River of Life church in Atoka, Oklahoma. She enjoyed watching Zena Warrior Princess and collecting knickknacks. Lana liked wearing costume jewelry, listening to music, and reading. She loved her dogs.
Lana is survived by her sons, Christopher Castano of Dallas, TX, David Owen Rounsaville of Atoka, OK; father, Hershel Hoyt Justus of Atoka, OK; stepfather, Charlie Brooks of Kingston, OK; aunts, Lillie Boone of Atoka, OK, Dorothy Silvers of Calera, OK, Shirley Prater of Ada, OK; brothers, Gary Hurd of Konowa, OK, Roger Brown and wife Anna of Pittsburg, KS; sisters, Dimitria Dickson and husband Shane of Atoka, OK, Angie Eagleberger and husband Ricky of Stringtown, OK, Amy Denny of Summersville, NC, Laurie Chitwood and husband West of Hot Springs, AR, Donna Justus of South Dakota; nephew, William Allen Powell and wife Courtney of Lone Grove, OK; nieces, Monica Moore of Atoka, OK, Angela McElmurry and husband Roger of Tushka, OK; best friends, Carolyn Ashabranner, Amy Denton; bonus mom, Betty Isbell; along with many other great nieces, nephews, and dearly loved family and friends.
Lana was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Edith (Prater) Justus; brother, Darrell Wayne Sides; bonus mom, Linda Lou Brooks.
