Lana Kay Kennedy, age 70, a Lane, OK resident. She was born on Monday, July 4, 1955, to J.B. and Clara Faye (Jernigan) Lyons, at Austin, TX. Lana passed away on Friday, August 8, 2025 at Denison, TX. She graduated high school in Burnet, TX and later received 2 Bachelor's Degrees. Lana was a provider; caring for older people that needed private care. She married Bobby Dale Hawkins Sr. in 1975 in Texas and together they shared 3 beautiful children. She later married Cebert Kennedy on May 13, 2001 in Burnet, TX. They enjoyed 10 years of marriage together before his passing in 2011. Lana was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and giving her family members things that she had made. She loved spending time with her grandkids and telling people stories. She didn't mind making a trip to the casino to play games and visit with people.
Lana is survived by her children, Robbie Grothe and husband JB of Lane, OK, Bobby Hawkins and fiancé Barbie of Benton, LA, Herschel Hawkins of Lane, OK; 17 GRANDCHILDREN; 32 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; Brothers, Mike Lyons and wife Debbie of Burnet, TX, Tim Lyons and wife Cricket of Burnet, TX, Paul Roten of Dripping Springs, TX, Jeff Roten of Corpus Christi, TX; sister, Alice Marie Baker of Burchem, TX
along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many loved and dear friends.
Lana was preceded in death by her father, J.B. Lyons; mother, Clara Faye Roten; husbands, Bobby Dale Hawkins, Cebert Kennedy; sister, Valerie Welch; brother, Buddy Lyons; son, Billy Ray Hawkins; daughter, Dusty Hawkins.
