Lance Thomas

Copon Lance Thomas, age 57, a Atoka, OK resident. He was born on Tuesday, June 24, 1969, to John Thomas and Gyndolyn Joyce (Davis) Rector, at Fairplay, CO. Lance passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Atoka, OK. He attended Atoka School, then later attended trade school in Talihina.

Lance was a forklift operator for B&B Logging for many years. Lance loved tinkering with things, fixing things up to sell. He did small engine machinery and enjoyed spending hours of time in the shop. Lance liked hunting, and fishing in his younger years. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs, cats, and would feed any stray that came around.

Lance is survived by his sons, Lance Ray Thomas of California, Dekota Lee Thomas of California, Jonathan Henry Bart Thomas of Arizona; stepdaughter, Madalyn Machuca of Durant; sisters, Rama Lynette Cain of Hugo, Oklahoma, Gwenda Renee Cain Barath and husband Charlie of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; aunts, Connie White of Lane, Oklahoma, Sandy Hammond of Atoka, Oklahoma; numerous cousins, many loved ones and dear friends.

Lance was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas and Gyndolyn Joyce (Davis) Rector; significant other, Debralyn Peters; grandparents, Gracie Viola, Keith Davis, Jake Davis; stepdaughter, Lisa Leml.
