Obituary Larry J. Glover, age 67, a Stringtown area resident, was born on October 7, 1944 at Minerals Wells, Texas to Joseph Leonard and Edna Isabell (Newberry) Glover. Larry passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012 at the Atoka Medical Center in Atoka, Oklahoma. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1962 and received his Associates Degree from Austin Community College in Austin, Texas. Larry was a Correctional Officer for the State of Texas. He married Alta Bacon on November 21, 1967 at Mineral Wells, Texas. Larry was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church at McAlester, Ok. and a long time member and elder of the St. Mark Lutheran Church of Mineral Wells, Texas, where he also taught Sunday school classes. He enjoyed history, reading and c.b. radios. Larry is survived by his wife, Alta Glover of the Home in Stringtown, Ok. son, Floyd Joseph Glover and wife, Robyn of Coalgate, Ok.; daughter, Sonya Smith and Robert Bearden of Stringtown, Ok.; grandsons, Joseph Wayne Glover and Stephanie Dueboay of Livingston, Tx.Morgan Pulver of Brisborn, Australia, Larry Scott Smith of Stringtown, Ok., Robert W. Bearden Jr. of Stringtown, Ok.; granddaughters, Ashley Nichole Viss and husband Roger of Rockdale, Tx., Sarah Alexandra Glover and Bobby Thomas of Trinity, Tx., Syamantha Smith of Stringtown, Ok., Michelle Bearden of Lometa, Tx.; great grandchildren, Madeline Glover, Carter Brandanberg and Jayden Glover, of Livingston, Tx., Cayden Viss and Carson Viss, both of Rockdale, Tx.; along with also survived by 2 nieces, other relatives, and dear friends.
