Lavon (Bolin) Daniel, age 80, a longtime Atoka, OK resident was raised in the Wapanucka area. She lived in Hugo for several years then returned to the Tushka area in 2000 to live on the home place. She was born on Tuesday, February 7, 1939, to John Irvin and Evie Beatrice (Rhea) Bolin at Wapanucka, OK. Lavon passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2019, at her home in Atoka, OK. She graduated from Wapanucka High School as valedictorian. Lavon was a housewife and a homemaker. She also worked at Atoka State Bank and at numerous sale barns in Hugo, Antlers, and Atoka. For many years she worked in the family business, Daniel Express Lube.  She married Bobby Gene Daniel on Friday, July 5th, 1963, at Atoka, OK. They celebrated 53 years of marriage before his passing on January 3, 2016.  Lavon was  a longtime member of First United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women's Group. She sang in the choir, loved cooking, was an accomplished seamstress, raised gardens, and loved watching her grandchildren play basketball.

Lavon is survived by her sons, Brent Daniel and wife Ruthann of Tushka, OK, Mike Daniel and wife Shelly of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Dale Daniel and wife Shannon of Stillwater, OK, Logan Daniel and wife Aja of Atoka, OK, Bob Daniel of Tushka, OK, Sunni Miller and husband Tanner of Durant, OK, Wyatt Daniel of the home in Atoka, OK, Alex Daniel of the home in Atoka, OK; great grandchildren, Julie Daniel and Kase and Canton Williams all of Stillwater, OK, Lyla Daniel of Atoka, OK, Rory Daniel of Atoka, OK, Evie Miller of Durant, OK; sisters in law, Sue Bolin of Atoka, OK, Nellie Bolin of Clarita, OK; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear and loved friends.

Lavon was preceded in death by her parents, John Irvin and Evie Beatrice (Rhea) Bolin; husband, Bob Daniel; brothers, John, Herschel, Ray, Pete, and Thurman Bolin; sister, Neoma McGlocklin and husband James.
