Lee Roy Rogers, age 98, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Wednesday, January 2, 1924, to William Thomas and Maud (Brandingberg) Rogers, at Muskogee, OK. Lee passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Calera, OK. He attended Wagner School in Oklahoma and Stanley School in Kansas. Lee was a carpenter. Lee proudly served his country in The Army during WWII. He was in the 86th Infantry. He married Ann B. Ricklic in May of 1975 at Durant, OK. They spent 27 wonderful years together before her passing in 2002. Lee was a lifetime member of D.A.V. He loved to read, hunt and fish, travel and going to junkyards.
Lee Roy is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Neumann and husband Bill of Garland, TX, Margie Walling of Garland, TX; niece, Ethel Wood of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Donald Neumann of Garland, TX, Philip Neumann and wife Ester of Garland, TX, Jerry Walling and wife Estell of Plano, TX, Rhett Walling of Garland, TX, Elizabeth Talbert of Royce City, TX, William Rogers of Royce City, TX; great grandchildren, James Walpole of Garland, TX, Brandon Neumann of Garland, TX, Lynn Walling of Plano, TX, Haylee Talbert of Royce City, TX, Brandon Rogers of Plano, TX, Selena Rogers of Allen, TX; 2 great great grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Lee Roy was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas and Maud (Brandingberg) Rogers; wife, Ann (Ricklic) Rogers; sons, Richard R. Rogers, Robert Rogers; son in laws, William Neumann, Jerry Walling; mother of his children, Evelyn Rogers; 5 siblings. ******************************************************************************
