Leland Blaine Thomas Chaffin, age 19, a lifelong Lane, OK resident. He was born on Tuesday, December 5, 2006, to Mindy D'Ann Ridgway, at Oklahoma City, OK. Leland passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Atoka, OK. He attended Lane Grade School and graduated from Atoka High School with the class of 2025. He was of the baptist faith and attended Harmony Baptist Church where he was baptized. He was a lover of his family, guns, fast cars and motorcycles. Leland enjoyed driving fast, playing video games, watching youtube videos, hunting and fishing and hanging out with friends. His most favorite hobbies were bossing people around, hanging out at the gun store and annoying his mother. Leland's life is a true testament to the power of a hero, inspiring everyone who knew him. He endured things in his life most people could never imagine and he never lost hope. He never planned to give up and was still making plans for the future up to his last day here on Earth. Leland was an old soul trapped in a young man's body, who never feared many things. He also had the honor of being a recipient of a gift from "Make A Wish."
Leland is survived by his mother, Mindy Ridgway of the home in Lane, OK; father, Jimmie Wayne Holstine of the home in Lane, OK; siblings, Kelton Chaffin and fiancé Michelle Hawkins of Lane, OK, Trisha Holstine and fiancé Mandy of Clovis, NM, Tamara Moreland and husband Dobber of Nashoba, OK, Little Jason Chaffin of Coleman, OK, Heaven Chaffin of Farris, OK; grandmother, Lanie Ridgway of Lane, OK; aunts and uncles, Billy Templin of Lane, OK, Gina Stegall and husband Clark of North Richland Hills, TX, Jimmy Ridgway and wife Lisa of Harmony, OK, Brady Westdyke of Hurst, TX, Brian Ridgway and family of Loveland, CO; grandfather, Mark Westdyke of Hurst, TX; cousins, Griffin Templin and fiancé Shaina Smith of Atoka, OK, Lathan Westdyke of Lane, OK; nieces, Harleigh Chaffin and Peighton Hawkins of lane, OK; special cousins, Jasper Templin and Violet Smith of Atoka, OK; along with numerous other family and many dear and loved friends.
Leland was preceded in death by his grandfather, Cliff Ridgway; uncle, David Westdyke; great grandmother, Cherry Templin.
