Obituary Lenard Leroy Meadows, age 88, an Atoka, OK resident, was born on Monday, August 25, 1924, to Jess and Minnie (Brosseau) Meadows, at Bentley, OK. Lenard passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Atoka, OK. He graduated from Tushka High School in 1942 the received his Bachelors from SOSU and received a Master's Degree from OSU. Lenard was a teacher and principal of Farris School for 36 years. Lenard proudly served his country in the army in World War II stationed in the Phillipines. He married Christine Leora (Dodds) on June 10, 1946 in Sherman, TX. Lenard attended Tushka Baptist church and previously Farris Baptist Church. He enjoyed ranching, fishing, hunting, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Lenard is survived by his wife, Christine Leora Meadows of the home in Atoka, OK.; children, Evelyn Winter and husband Ron of Tushka, OK., Lynda Combest and husband Dwayne of Tushka, OK., Derk Meadows and wife Dana of Tushka, OK.; siblings, Ralph Meadows and wife Mae of Tushka, OK., Emma Tressie Woodward of Billings, MO.; grandchildren, Bradley Phillips and wife Bonnie of Farris, OK., Pamela Delsigne and husband David of MaComb, OK., Suzonne Wakely and husband John of Kingston, OK., Warren Combest and wife Jana of Boswell, OK., Tabitha Richardson and husband Tommy of Harmony, OK., Tifanie Meadows and fiancé Tim Goff of Tushka, OK., Trask Meadows and fiancé Timber Stephens of Tushka, OK., 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
