OBITUARY

Linda Nadine Coyle (Miller), 81, of Atoka, Oklahoma, passed away on August 3, 2026, in Durant, Oklahoma.

Linda was born on November 29, 1944, in Monterey Park, California, to Edgar Roosevelt Miller and Lois Maurine (Lassiter) Miller. She was raised in Atoka and graduated from Atoka Public Schools before attending Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She worked as a secretary at Bentley grade school for several years, then Tushka Schools. Linda was also a talented seamstress.

On November 15, 1968, Linda married the love of her life, Donald Roy Coyle, in Durant, Oklahoma. They shared nearly 39 years of marriage until Donald’s passing on May 22, 2007.

Linda’s greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren. She especially looked forward to the family’s annual reunions in Branson and cherished Sunday dinners surrounded by those she loved. She also enjoyed sewing, watching game shows on television, and spending time with her church family, who held a special place in her heart.

She is survived by her sons, Alan Coyle and Mary McClendon of Bentley, Oklahoma, Tracy Coyle and Kenya of Durant, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kenzie Coyle of Atoka, Oklahoma, Kennedy Coyle of Durant, Oklahoma, Kinlee Brewer and Kiefer of Atoka, Oklahoma, Bryson Coyle of Durant, Oklahoma, Shelby Milam of Atoka, Oklahoma, and Jalynn Vessels and Ryan of Atoka, Oklahoma; one great-grandchild on the way, Swayze Jay Brewer; sisters, Mary Sheffield of Lane, Oklahoma, Betty Hartsfield and husband Ted of Clarita, Oklahoma, and Jan McDonald and husband Gary of Stringtown, Oklahoma; brothers, Phillip Miller and wife Gaylene of Atoka, Oklahoma, Jim Miller and wife Cindy of Wapanucka, Oklahoma, and Dan Miller and wife Tammi of Atoka, Oklahoma; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and her beloved church family.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Roy Coyle; her parents, Edgar and Lois Miller; her husband’s parents; her brother-in-law, Curtis Sheffield; her nephew, Lance Hartsfield; and her niece, Karen Sheffield.
