Linda Joyce Drain, age 82, an Atoka, OK resident for the last 40 years or so was raised in Rhome, TX. She was born on Tuesday, May 5, 1942, to Carroll Clyde and Blanche Kate (Herring) Atchley, at DeQueen, AR. Linda passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Atoka, OK. She attended school in DeQueen, AR and Grapevine, TX. Linda was a housewife and homemaker. She married Ernest Monroe Drain on Tuesday, September 8th, 1959 at Sherman, TX. They celebrated 43 years of marriage before his passing on February 2, 2003. Linda attended Bentley Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, reading, watching soap operas and loved taking care of cattle.
Linda is survived by her children, Tim Drain and wife Eraina of Hiram, GA, James Drain and wife Carmen of Atoka, OK, Rebecca Ybanez of Roanoke, TX, Eric Drain of Hoopeston, IL; grandchildren, Joshua Drain of Hiram, GA, April Ybanez of Roanoke, TX, Anthony Ybanez of Roanoke, TX, Joe Villagrana of Ft. Worth, TX, Maria Palomares  and husband Henry of El Paso, TX; sisters, Barbara Lowrey of Ft. Worth, TX, Sue McDaniel of Weatherford, TX, Evelyn Smith of Keller, TX; sister in law, Carrie Huschke and husband Leon of Aubrey, TX; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll Clyde and Blanche Kate (Herring) Atchley; husband, Ernest Monroe Drain; in laws, Archie Lee and Johnnie Drain; grandparents, Myrtle and Gene Herring, John and Dillie Atchley; son in law, Tony Ybanez.
