Linda Gayle Payne, age 74, a Daisy, OK resident. She was born on Saturday, July 22, 1950, to Andrew Jackson and Marie Lucille (Ales) Armstrong Sr., at Stringtown, OK. Linda passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Ada, OK. She attended Stringtown Public Schools where she graduated from in 1968. Linda worked in nursing homes as a Nurses Aid. She worked many years at Texas Instruments in Sherman, Texas. She married William Payne on Friday, July 31st, 1970 at Atoka, OK. They celebrated 54 years of marriage before her passing. Linda was a member of the Pecan Grove Baptist Church. She loved listening to music and spending time with her family. Linda liked to fish, camp, and watch older TV shows. She liked 1950's Rock N' Roll music and loved to dance to the old 50's. Linda enjoyed going to the park to feed the ducks and birds. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family.
Linda is survived by her husband, William Payne of the home in Daisy, OK; daughter, Gayla Frazier and friend Michael Lewis of Collinsville, TX, Patsy Kelso of Denison, TX; grandkids, Matthew Payne and wife Laura of Nevada, Angel Hyde and husband Will of Denison, TX, Douglas Van Dyke and wife Lori of Ardmore, OK, Crystal Frazier and friend Ezekiel of Sherman, TX, Joseph Frazier of Sherman, TX; great grandkids, Jaxson Payne, Charlotte Payne, Dakota Van Dyke, Alex Van Dyke, Aiden Bailey, Lucas Hyde; sister, Shirley Thompson of Sherman, TX; brother in law; Cecil Payne of Daisy, OK; sisters in law, Lois West of Elmore City, OK, Gladys Kelly of Daisy, OK, Judy Perry of Harrah, OK; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Jackson and Marie Lucille (Ales) Armstrong Sr.; brother, Andrew Jackson Armstrong Jr., Charley Thomas Armstrong.
