Lloyd Earl Brown, age 76, a Five Points, AL resident, formerly a longtime Atoka County resident. He was born on Thursday, December 11, 1947, to Calvin Monroe and Sylvia Mae (Madlock) Brown, at Picher, OK. Lloyd passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Roanoke, AL. He attended Spencer Elementary and Star Spencer High School in Spencer, OK. Lloyd was a retired carpenter, welder, and all around great handyman. Lloyd proudly served his country in The Marines during the Vietnam Conflict. He married Shirley Dianne (Booth) on Friday, June 25th, 1971 at Oklahoma City, OK. They celebrated 48 years of marriage before her passing on June 23, 2019. Lloyd was of the baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling with family and friends. Lloyd was a skilled woodworker and loved building cabinets and remodeling his home. He was always full of laughs and was always the life of the party. He never met a stranger and had so many crazy stories to tell.
Lloyd is survived by his daughters, Tammy Daniel and husband Barry of Atoka, OK, Tonya Cook and husband Mark of Atoka, OK; granddaughters, Brittney Ray and husband Zach of Nashville, TN, Brooklyn Daniel of Atoka, OK, Blakelyn Daniel of Atoka, OK, Gracee Bowles and husband Teddy of Colbert, OK; grandsons, Lucas Cook and wife Chantel of Durant, OK, Brantlee Avants and partner Alexis Mendez of Atoka, OK, Stephen Cook and partner Kennedie Edge of Durant, OK; great grandchildren, Averi Cook of Durant, OK, Lilly Cook of Durant, OK, Daniel Ray of Nashville, TN; sister, Anita Kay Miller of Oklahoma City, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Monroe and Sylvia Mae (Madlock) Brown; wife, Shirley Brown; 11 brothers and sisters.
