December 12, 1951 – February 1, 2024
Lloyd Glenn Long, nicknamed Sarge and Logger, age 72, a longtime Farris, OK resident, was born on Wednesday, December 12, 1951, to Lloyd "Jack" Elvin and Ellen Lorene (Selby) Long, at Florence, AZ. Glenn passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at his home in Farris, OK. He attended Farris Grade School, graduated from Atoka High School and later attended Okmulgee Tech Center studying Diesel Mechanic. Glenn was a truck driver and worked the past few years at the Rock Crusher in Stringtown as an equipment operator. He also worked at the family sawmill with his dad in his early years, for many years. Glenn proudly served his country in The Oklahoma National Guard. He met the love of his life, Brenda (King) in February of 2017. Glenn loved fishing, always cutting up or joking, and always had a story to tell, his grandchildren were the light of his life, he looked forward to his weekly game of dominoes with his best friends.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Long of the home in Farris, OK; children, Colton Long and wife Morgan of Antlers, OK, Tera Navarro and husband Tony of Atoka, OK, Brandon Davis and wife Jennifer of Colbert, OK, April Pickens and wife Danielle of Farris, OK; grandchildren, Tader Jackson, Pepper Jackson, Rack Jackson, Reckett Jackson, Fanci Navarro, Adilynn Long, Finlee Long, Nash Long, Lexyee Davis, Julianna Yates; sisters, Linda Hearrell of Lane, OK, Wilma Arnold of Eunice, LA; brother, Jackie Long and wife Lena of Lane, OK; mother in law, Virginia King
along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Ellen Long; brothers in law, Robert Arnold, Sam Hearrell; great nephew, Rusty Willis
