Lois Evelyn (Horn) Alexander, age 90, a Centerpoint, OK resident, lived in and around Wichita, KS for 13 years and came back to Atoka County in 1964. She was born on Wednesday, June 22, 1932, to James and Chloe (Hargrove) Horn, at Centerpoint, OK. Lois passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at her home in Centerpoint, OK. She attended Centerpoint School and Atoka High School. Lois was a seamstress for Blue Bell and was a housewife and homemaker. She married James William Alexander on March 23, 1948 in Paris, TX. They celebrated 65 1/2 years of marriage before his passing on July 4, 2014. Lois was a member of Farris Church of Christ. She loved gardening, painting, working puzzles, wild life, hunting, fishing, and any outdoor events.
Lois is survived by her children, James L. Alexander of Centerpoint, OK, Brenda Murray and husband Larry of Ardmore, OK; grandchildren, Amy Alexander of Lane, OK, Jamie Alexander of Lane, OK, Jody Benefield of Ardmore, Thomas Benefield and wife Daydee of Atoka, OK; 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; sister, Ernestine Jeffery of Hugo, OK; sister in law, Floye Horn of Centerpoint, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and  many dear and loved friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, James and Chloe (Hargrove) Horn; husband, James William Alexander; brothers, Jerry Horn, Edward Horn; sisters, Ruby Herring, Sue Creel, Jewel Horn, Elsie Johnson.
