IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lou Evelyn
Niblett
October 24, 1933 – March 29, 2020
Lou Evelyn Niblett, age 86, a longtime Tishomingo, OK resident, was born on Tuesday, October 24, 1933, to Clarence "C.T" Bud and Fanny Ellen (Hill) Thomas, at Wellington, TX. She lived much of her young life on Devil's Den Road in Tishomingo along with her five siblings, Bill, Viola, Virginia, Hasell and Richard. Lou was the youngest of the siblings. Lou passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at her home on Cedar Ridge Rd. in Tishomingo, OK, surrounded by her family. She graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1951. After raising her daughters she returned to Murray State College where she received her Associate Degree, Southeastern State University where she received her B.A. and received her Master's Degree at East Central. Lou was a teacher for over 25 years in the Tishomingo School system as a Sr. & Jr. English, Drama, and Speech teacher. Many of her former students are still around Tishomingo today. She was a beloved teacher and remembered for the productions of the Jr. and Sr. plays. "Mrs. Niblett" was also the senior class sponsor. One of the greatest accomplishments of her life was her 65 year marriage to her husband Jack. They met while she was working at the soda fountain in the drug store in downtown Tishomingo. Another one of Lou's greatest accomplishments was her family. She and Jack raised two daughters, Patti Niblett Bridgeman and Jayne Niblett Hull. They both married and had children. Those grandchildren and great grandchildren were the loves of her life. Lou was a true believer and a member of the United Church in Tishomingo. Jack and Lou both loved to travel. They started off with a tent in the trunk of their car, then moved on to many different R.V.'s and then bus trips. They both loved to read. While most people were watching television, they were reading. They both passed the love of adventure and reading down to their children and grandchildren.
Lou is survived by her daughter, Jayne Hull and husband Glen of Tishomingo, OK; grandchildren, Lindsay Ratzlaff and husband Tyson of Tishomingo, OK, Ty Hull and wife Chelsea of Tishomingo, OK, John Bridgeman and wife Tyler of Kingston, OK; great grandchildren, Parks Ratzlaff, Kate Ratzlaff, Cole Ratzlaff, Emmy Jack Hull, Brady Hull, Miley Bridgeman, Marley Bridgeman & Mavrick Bridgeman
