PASSED AWAY: Loyd passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Atoka, OK. AGE: 79 years, 1 month and 11 days EDUCATION: He graduated from Atoka High School in 1951, then attended East Central University in Ada, OK., where Loyd received his Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education. OCCUPATION: Loyd was a rancher but above all he was a teacher. MARRIED: He married Annie (Hardage) on August 4, 1953 in Atoka, OK. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Loyd was a member of Wards Chapel Baptist Church. He was a cattle rancher and had registered Polled Herefords for over 30 years. Loyd was a leader in the local chapter of the Oklahoma Education Association. SURVIVED BY WIFE: Annie Penick of the home in Atoka, OK. CHILDREN: Brenda McCormack and husband John of Guthrie, OK. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
