IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lynna
Harvanek
August 14, 1947 – December 21, 2023
Lynna Harvanek, age 76, a longtime Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Thursday, August 14, 1947, to Ralph and Geneva (Mounger) Moreland Jr., at Liberal, KS. Lynna passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Antlers, OK. She graduated from Polytechnic Senior High School in Ft. Worth, TX and later went on to attend College. Lynna was a store manager for Dillard's for 20 years and happily retired. She was hired part time at Dillards to help with the Christmas season rush and they never let her go. She was quickly elevated to manager and her incredible performance and talents were used to help them with several store openings. She married Gerald Raymond "Gary" Harvanek on Friday, March 4th, 1966 at Ft. Worth, TX. They celebrated 57 years of marriage before her passing. Lynna was a member of First Baptist Church of Atoka. She enjoyed crafting, decorating and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Lynna was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and Nanny. She has volunteered countless hours decorating events and preparing meals. Any event she was a part of was always beyond special. She loved her church and her church family and it was evident in all the work that she did to make things special at Falls Creek, Christmas plays and countless meals. Lynna's favorite flowers were white lilies and white roses which matched her personality of a complete elegant and classy woman. She also loved sunflowers. Lynna loved the Lord and has lived her life as an example of what a Christian woman should be. She taught all of her family and friends the importance of serving God. She put others first and was a true servant to the Lord. Her last wish is for her legacy to live on through her beautiful family of whom she adored and for each person reading this to surrender your life to the Lord and join her in Heaven when your time comes.
Lynna is survived by her husband, Gary Harvanek of the home in Atoka, OK; sons, Kameron Harvanek and wife Tanaye of Lane, OK, Shawn Harvanek and wife Myra of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Austin Harvanek and wife Brianna of Idabel, OK, Kaylee Overton and husband Justis of Oklahoma City, OK, Morgan Harvanek and Noah Johnson of Noble, OK, ZuKarr Eaves of Atoka, OK, Zaine Eaves of Stillwater, OK; great grandsons, Baker Overton, Blake Overton, Jude Harvanek; mother, Geneva (Mounger) Heckard and husband Bruce of Sherman, TX; extended family, Richard Bankhead and wife Lisa of Azel, TX, Warren Mayher and wife Stephanie of Sadler, TX
