Malcom Laray Shelton, age 61, was raised in Coleman and moved back to Bentley, OK in 2000, was born on Friday, November 4, 1960, to Cletis Ray and Doris Faye (Bench) Shelton, at Durant, OK. Malcom passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at his home in Bentley, OK with his loved ones by his side. He attended Coleman High School. Malcom was a truck driver for Dolese and from 2001 to 2014 he was a welder for Choctaw Nation. He married Patricia Edna (Mead) on Thursday, October 2nd, 2004 at Bentley, OK. They celebrated 18 years of marriage before his passing. Malcom was affiliated with Bentley Baptist Church. He was a member of Choctaw Nation, a past member of Atoka Elks Lodge, volunteer fireman and EMR for Bentley Fire Department. Malcom enjoyed fishing, hunting, his cattle, building cabins and woodworking, anything outdoors and loved being with his family.
Malcom is survived by his wife, Patricia Edna Shelton of the home in Bentley, OK; children, Shawna Bivings and husband Brad of Coleman, OK, Stephanie Harris and husband Jacob of Thackerville, OK, Tiffany Hill and husband Jon of Choctaw, OK, Tyrell Shelton and friend Michele of Cushing, OK, Melissa Sanders and husband Jeff of Atoka, OK, Crystal Ryan and fiancé Brian McClendon of Lane, OK, Ricky Ryan and wife Christina of Tuttle, OK; 18 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Robin Morgan and husband Joe of Harrah, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Malcom was preceded in death by his parents, Cletis Ray and Doris Faye (Bench) Shelton; sister, Luretha "Bunnie" Murray; in laws, William and Alpha Mae Mead.
