OBITUARY
NAME: Marjorie Lou (McAnulty) Durbin, age 90, a Tulsa, OK resident, formerly a longtime Atoka resident.
BORN: She was born on Sunday, January 24, 1926, to Gene and Alice (Clemmer) McAnulty, at Milburn, OK. She had five brothers. Halgene was the oldest who was killed in World War II at the young age of seventeen. Her other brothers were Bob, Jack, Dale and Gerald. She was the only girl in a family of six.
PASSED AWAY: Marjorie passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Tulsa, OK.
AGE: 90 years, 11 months and 15 days.
EDUCATION: She graduated from Atoka High School in 1943.
OCCUPATION: Marjorie was a business owner with her husband, brother in law and sister in law. After the war Walter went in business with his brother Johnnie. They along with their wives, Marjorie and Alpha Dean, were hard working, successful business men supported by their loving wives known around Southeastern Oklahoma as "The Durbin Brothers". Their slogan was "Try Durbin's Atoka."
MARRIED: She married Walter Frances Durbin on April 13, 1946 after Walter returned from his four years in the Air Force in World War II. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before he passed on May 2, 2008.
CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Marjorie was a devoted Christian and lived her faith by serving in the Church of Christ in Downtown Atoka. Marjorie was busy raising children and Walter was working at the grocery store. Both helped each other when needed around the store or with family matters. Marjorie known as "Margie", "Mom", "Granny", will be deeply missed. She was loved by all and Heaven has gained a great one. She will live on in our hearts with great love, admiration, respect, and so many rich traditions and memories we cherish. Until we meet again...

GREAT GRANDCHILDREN: Brianna, Caleb, Max, Jordyn, Cole, Kennedy and Jordyn
BROTHER: Dale McAnulty and wife Imogene of Abilene, TX
SISTERS IN LAW: Rosie McAnulty of Oklahoma City, OK
Alpha Dean Durbin England of Atoka, OK
along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
