Mark Alan Manion, age 61, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, was born on Saturday, October 13, 1962, to Everett Manard and Betty Sue (Moore) Manion, at Coalgate, OK. Mark passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Tulsa, OK. He graduated from Stringtown High School in the class of 1980. Mark was a heavy equipment operator for Holcim. He married Shirley Jean (Gabriel) on Saturday, June 14th, 2014 at Denison, TX. They got to enjoy nearly 10 years of marriage before his passing. Mark received Fireman of The Year in 1999 and later retired as Captain from the Atoka Fire Dept. He placed in the top 20 in the 1988 Spring Invitational Archery Event. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing cornhole, and being with his family, especially the grandbabies.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Jean Manion of the home in Atoka, OK; sons, Kevin Manion, Eric Manion and wife Ally, Adam Manion and wife Amber; daughter, Steevie Leflore; brother, Miles "Rusty" Manion and wife Ruth; sister, Barbara Farris; sister in law, Donalda Manion Walker; 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 1 on the way, along with numerous, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Betty Sue Manion, brother, Rick "Ricky" Manard Manion; brother in law, Jim Farris; in laws, Josh and Marlene Gabriel
