Mark David Westdyke, age 45, was raised in Frisco, TX and moved to Atoka, OK in 1987 and was a resident of Lane for a few years. He was born on Tuesday, August 29, 1978, to Mark Daniel and Melanie Desiree (Templin) Westdyke, at Plano, TX. David passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at his home in Lane, OK. He attended school in Frisco, TX, graduated from Atoka High School and went on to attend Southeastern Oklahoma State College for I.T. and also attended Kiamichi VoTech. David worked at Dillard's and was a shift leader at Cardinal Glass for the last 18 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Atoka. He enjoyed playing games, building computers, hunting, fishing, reading and listening to podcast and old radio stories.
David is survived by his son, Lathan Westdyke of the home in Lane, OK; mother, Lanie Ridgway and husband Clifford of Atoka, OK; father, Mark Daniel Westdyke of Hurst, TX; sister, Mindy Ridgway and significant other Jimmie Wayne Holstine of Lane, OK; step brothers, Brian Ridgway of Colorado, Jimmy Ridgway and wife Lisa of Harmony, OK; brother, Brady Westdyke of Hurst, TX; nephews, Kelton Chaffin, Leland Chaffin; uncle, Billy Templin and wife Jody of Lane, OK; aunt, Gina Stegall and husband Clark of N. Richland Hills, TX; special cousins, Griffin Templin, Jasper Templin; along with cousins, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
David was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Billy and Cherry Templin; paternal grandparents, Eddie and Margaret Westdyke; cousin, Autumn Templin.
