Martha Louella Henbest, age 64, a lifelong Caney, OK area resident. She was born on Thursday, September 3, 1959, to William Franklin and Lolly Dessie (Phillips) Henry, at Moses Lake, WA. Martha passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Durant, OK. She graduated from Caney High School where she played basketball with the class of 1977 and went on to attend Southeastern State University. Martha worked at Wal-Mart, Atoka Truck Stop, MEMC Fabrication in Sherman and was a volunteer First Responder for Caney Fire Department. She married Larry Land Henbest on Saturday, September 1st, 1979 at Tulsa, OK.  They celebrated 30 years of marriage before his passing in 2009. Martha was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading books, scuba diving, traveling, and loved chasing and being with her kids and grandkids, and spoiling Bean, her little fur baby.

Martha is survived by her mother, Dessie Henry of Caney, OK; children, Larry William Henbest of Caney, OK, Dessie Rose Henbest of Caney, OK, Tamara Henbest of New Jersey, Rosalyn Henbest of the home in Caney, OK, Jonathan Henbest of Durant, OK; grandchildren, Krystal Henbest, Destiny Henbest, Hennessey Henbest, Layken Yvonne Frank, Bently David Thomason, Charles Reid Thomason, Kaelani Espada, Lilliana Espada, Jacob Matthew Henbest; sisters, Peggy Weger and husband Allan of Caney, OK, Rita Woolf and husband Eugene of Caney, OK; brother, Terry Henry of Caney, OK; along with nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

Martha was preceded in death by her father, William Franklin Henry; husband, Larry Land Henbest; brothers, Silas Gilbert Henry, Richard Dale Henry; grandson, Carl James Teague.
