OBITUARY

NAME: Martha Blanche (Stewart) Rhodes, age 91, a Atoka, OK resident.

BORN: She was born on Tuesday, June 25, 1925, to David and Mary (Carter) Stewart in Sasakwa, OK.

PASSED AWAY: Martha passed away on Friday, August 5, 2016 in Denison, TX.

AGE: 91 years, 1 months and 11 days.

EDUCATION: She attended Albion school.

OCCUPATION: Martha was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother.

MARRIED: She married Norman Louis Rhodes on Saturday, June 5th, 1965 at Ft. Smith. AR. He preceded her in death on July 22, 1998.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: When Martha was a young girl she had a great passion for school and learning to the point that she would have her oldest sister teach her everything she would learn each day. At the early age of 16, Martha left her parents and married her first husband with whom she had 10 children. At the age of 39, she met and married Norman Rhodes and at the age of 40 had twin boys. Martha was a devoted wife, grandmother, great grandmother and even a great great grandmother. She was a stay at home mother, homemaker and a farmer. Martha ALWAYS kept herself busy with a number of hobbies such as working in her garden, painting, reading, antiquing, and sewing clothes for her family. Above all Martha's greatest passion in life was raising and spending time with her family. She was our rock, common thread, and our heart.

Joyce Marie Smith and Tim Spann of Antlers, OK

Peggy Elizabeth Geary and husband William of McAlester, OK

STEP-SON:             Frankie Rhodes of Arizona

17 grandchildren

30 great grandchildren

7 great great grandchildren

along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
