Marty Lee Coates, age 65, a longtime Tushka, OK resident, was born on Thursday, September 8, 1955, to Vernon Lee and Barbara Jean (Stanley) Coates, at Compton, CA. Marty passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Sherman, Marty was the district manager for Atoka Rural Water District 2 before his retirement. He married Deborah Coates on Friday, March 28th, 1975 at Tushka, Oklahoma. They celebrated 45 years of marriage. Marty liked visiting with his grandchildren and watching them play sports. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Marty is survived by his wife, Deborah Coates of the home in Tushka, OK: mother, Barbara Jean (Stanley) Coates of Tushka, OK; sons, Zac Coates and wife Ashley of Tushka, OK, Matt Coates and wife Tiffany of Tushka, OK; brother, Jim Coates and Pam Bensley of Tushka, OK; grandchildren, Blaine, Ketch, Raynee, Kollin, and Josie.
Marty was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Lee Coates; father-in-law, Raymond Joe Griffin and mother-in-law, June Griffin.
