Marvin Fred Ishmael, age 79, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Monday, June 2, 1941, to Melvin Shade and Carmen Gertrude (Roddy) Ishmael, at Atoka, OK. Marvin passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Atoka, OK. He attended Atoka Public School. Marvin was a concrete contractor for 40 years and then went on to work for the County of Atoka and Jamm. He married Deborah Scott on Friday, September 22nd, 1961 in Carson City, NV. They celebrated 59 wonderful years of marriage. Mavin was a longtime member and deacon of Blackjack Baptist Church. He was also a member of Union 906-Concrete Finishing Union. Marvin loved hunting, fishing for crappie, doing yard work, gardening, going to the cabin, watching OU football games and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Marvin is survived by his wife, Deborah Ishmael of the home in Atoka, OK; sons, Marvin Ishmael and wife Jennifer of Tioga, TX, Doug Ishmael of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Nathan Ishmael and Lena Waggoner of Tioga, TX, Evan Ishmael and wife Tina of Tioga, TX, Colt Ishmael and Stormy Donihoo of Caney, OK, Mason Ishmael and wife Taylor of Caney, OK; great grandchildren, Tripp Ishmael, Tucker Ishmael, Shade Ishmael, Daiton King, Aaron Ishmael; brothers, Melvin Ishmael and wife Irene of Atoka, OK, Gordon Ishmael and wife Betty of Tulsa, OK; sister, Martha Lou Morris of Tulsa, OK; sister-in-law, Ruth Ishmael of Atoka, OK; daughter-in-law, Sue Ishmael of Caney, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Shade and Carmen Gertrude (Roddy) Ishmael; brothers, Hal Wayne Ishmael, John Ishmael; sisters, Jean Stamps, Helen Ann Leonard, Carolyn Chaffin, Lillian Frank
