Obituary NAME: Mary Catherine (Reddick) Clay age 83, a longtime Atoka area resident. BORN: She was born on October 31, 1927 to Rev. James W. and Emma Lucy (Brice) Reddick at Weleetka, Ok. PASSED AWAY: Mary passed away on April 25, 2011, at Oklahoma City, Ok. AGE 83 YEARS 5 MONTHS AND 24 DAYS EDUCATION: As a daughter of a Reverend she attended numerous schools in Oklahoma. OCCUPATION: Mary was a seamstress and a school bus driver for the Battiest school system. MARRIED: She married Daniel Doyle "Chub" Clay on May 14, 1944, at Pickens, Ok. CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES, AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: She and Chub were also foster parents who opened their home to some 30 plus children over the years. Mary also worked in the Foster Grandparents Program at Atoka Schools for several years helping in the special education department. She was also a member of the Lady's Auxiliary Volunteers for Atoka Hospital. Mary was a member of the Atoka Assembly of God. When she wasn't working she enjoyed cooking, camping, and traveling. She loved family reunions more than anything in the world and looked anxiously forward to the Reddick Round-Up in September of every year. Mary also made yearly trips to donate clothing she had made and small gifts she had purchased to the Hillcrest Assembly of God Children's home in Hot Springs, Ar. SURVIVED BY BROTHER: James Reddick and wife Vermell of Oklahoma City, Ok. SISTER-IN-LAW: Charlene Miller of DeQueen, Ar. SON: Jerry Clay and wife Dixie of Hot Springs, Ar. DAUGHTERS: Shirley Hunt and husband Gary of Atoka, Ok. Pam Edson of Atoka, Ok. GRANDCHILDREN: Don Clay and wife Tammy and their son Zac of Hope, Ar. LaJuanna Baggs of DeQueen, Ar. Danny Erwin and wife Michelle and their children Cody, Dustin, and Jessica of Caney, Tx. Mistie Arrivette and husband Marty and their children Jordan and Maddison of Langley, Ar. Roger Erwin and wife Melissa and their children Broc, Adrianna, and Christina of Cloudy, Ok. Shauna Keeler and husband Michael of Atoka, Ok. Shammie Jackson and husband Trevor and their daughter Analyce of Atoka, Ok. Shelli Hunt and daughter Chaini of Atoka, Ok. Kimberly Henderson and daughter Abby of Hot Springs, Ar. Nancy Henderson of Hot Springs, Ar. Charles Henderson of Hot Springs, Ar. SPECIAL NEPHEWS: Bob Holley and wife Norma of Nelson, Ok. Roger Holley and wife Kay of Atoka, Ok.
