Mary "Mitzie" Elizabeth (Jenkins) Ladd, age 81, a Lane, OK resident, was born on Tuesday, March 5, 1940, to Curtis and Marbeth (Grim) Jenkins, in Houston, TX. Mitzie passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 in Lane, OK. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in San Antonio, Texas. Mitzie worked as a book keeper for a construction company for many years. She married Paul Lee Ladd in 1997 in Rockwall, Texas. They spent 25 wonderful years together. Mitzie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Atoka. She enjoyed ceramic painting, sewing, cooking for her family and church events, attending church, trying new recipes, singing in the church choir and being out in the country with her animals. Mitzie found the most enjoyment in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mitzie is survived by her husband, Paul Lee Ladd of Atoka, OK; sons, Mike Owen and wife Christi of Bryan, TX, Mark Owen and wife Julie of Bryan, TX; grandchildren, Carrie Qualls and husband Chris of Waco, TX, Keith Owen of Bryan, TX, Kendall Owen of Bryan , TX, Keagan Owen of Bryan, TX; step-son, Richard Ladd and wife Scharlene of Lane, OK; step-grandchildren, Zachary Ladd of Hutto, TX, Terrie Leigh Ladd of Hutto, TX; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Mitzie was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Marbeth (Grim) Jenkins; sister, Virginia McHaney; brother, Curtis Dan Jenkins
