Mary Elizabeth Estep, age 76, a longtime Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Tuesday, December 16, 1947, to Britain and Camilla (Barnett) Hancock, at Prescott, AR. Mary passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024 at home in Atoka, OK. She attended and graduated from Gurdon High School. Mary worked at Ameristate Bank for 30 years. She married Jerry Estep on Sunday, May 7th, 1967 at Gurdon, AR. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage together before her passing. Mary attended Harmony Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, traveling, trips to Branson, walking, and scrap-booking. She was a Barbie collector. Mary loved visiting with her brother and sisters.
Mary is survived by her husband, Jerry Estep of Atoka, OK; son, Stephen Estep and wife Stacey of Atoka, OK; grandson, Brandon Estep of Durant, OK; granddaughter, Holly Estep of Atoka, OK; sister, Nina Calhoon and husband Tom of Arkadelphia, AR; honorable mentions, Ameristate Bank family, the wonderful ladies of the Election Board.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Britain and Camilla (Barnett) Hancock; brother, Larry Hancock; sisters, Shirley Jennings, Billie Loe
