Mary Mae (Hardy) Lunsford, age 59, a longtime Caney, OK resident, was born on Wednesday, July 5, 1961, to Sidney JD and Joyce Hardy, at Caney, OK. Mary passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Denison, TX. She attended Caney High School. Mary was the best housewife and stay at home mom. She married the love of her life, Ernest John Lunsford on Friday, November 3rd, 1978 at Atoka, OK. They celebrated 42 wonderful years of marriage in November of last year. Mary was of the Baptist faith. She was a quirky women that loved her sheep, goats, llamas, dogs and any other animal that crossed her path. Mary loved to make quilts, bake, put puzzles together, cook and most of all, spend time with her family. Mary is survived by her husband, Ernest John Lunsford of Caney, OK; son, Jeremy Lunsford of Kiowa, OK; daughter, Tiffany Lunsford of Atwood, OK; siblings, Nancy Mahana of Caney, OK, David Hardy of Caney, OK, Kathy Loftis of Caney, OK; mother, Joyce Hardy of Caney, OK; family friends, Steven Koen of Coalgate, OK, Red Lawson and wife Nita of Caney, OK, Roger Richardson and wife Ann of Caney, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relative and many dear friends.
