Matthew Lawrence Horn, age 51, a longtime McAlester, OK resident. He was born on Tuesday, September 18, 1973, to Larry and Shirley Diane (Armstrong) Horn, at Dallas, TX. Matt passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Tulsa, OK. He attended  McAlester High School. Matt was self employed as the owner of Parkway Motors. Matt enjoyed hunting, fishing, outdoors, and motorcycles. He loved traveling, going to Sturgis, and spending time with family, especially his kids. His great-grandparents, Earl & Opal Ponder and his namesake, Uncle Lawrence Ponder, influenced his life greatly.
Matt is survived by his children, Samantha Horn of Eufaula, OK, Katelynn Horn and Brycen Overton of McAlester, Cody Horn of McAlester, OK, Aspen Rivers of McAlester, OK; grandchildren, Asher Scherdein, Lynnix Overton, Dawson Overton, Porter Overton; sister, Montie Koehn-Sill; cousins, Brent Horn, Brad Horn, Bryan Horn, Tim Lane, Johnathan Horn, Tanner and wife Faith Horn; aunt, Bobbie Horn; special aunts and uncle, Danny Horn and wife Karen, Kay Horn Cullifer; mothers of his children, Stephanie Cottrell, Heather Horn; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and host of dear friends.
Matt was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Shirley Diane (Armstrong) Horn; granddaughter, Roxanne Scherdein; special uncle, Keith Horn; along with his grandparents and other relatives that have passed before him. ******************************************************************************
