Matthew Michol Moody, age 37, a Atoka, OK resident. He was born on Tuesday, September 6, 1988, to Michol and Debbie Jo (Johnston) Moody, at Ada, OK. Matthew passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Atoka, OK. He attended Atoka Public Schools,  Truck Driving Academy in Mead, OK. Matthew was a Truck Driver for KMB Trucking and Sham Crews. Matthew loved looking for arrowheads, old coins, and money. He enjoyed spending time fixing things, taking things apart, and attempting to put them back together. He especially loved being with his son. Matthew loved playing basketball with Finley, wrestling with Sutton,. He loved mowing and burning brush, sometimes more than necessary. He would pester everyone until he could get you to laugh or be mad.  Matthew enjoyed hunting, spending time with friends, and running up and down the road. In his early years his favorite hobby was skipping school with his best friend Bryan , and bullriding until his parents tracked him down. Matthew was always known as the life of the party. He was deeply loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Matthew loved his family more than anyone could ever imagine. He was the best brother and found his calling as a daddy to his "little baby" who was his purpose in life.
Matthew is survived by his sons, Sutton Moody  of Rattan, OK, Finley Akard of Rattan, OK; mother of his sons, Malley Brown of Rattan, OK; parents, Michol and Debbie Jo (Johnston) Moody of Lane, OK; sister, Mallory and Tommy Glover of Tushka, OK; brothers, Derek Moody of Lane, OK, Daniel Moody and wife Angelica of Lane, OK: grandmother, Beverly Johnston of Sherman, TX; nieces, Trinity Glover, Zaylie Glover, Camdyn Glover, Adaline Moody; nephews, Taegon Glover, Kade Glover, Boone Moody; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, many loved ones, and dear friends.
Matthew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roy and Marie Moody; maternal grandfather, David Joe Johnston; maternal grandmother, Edith Hunter; great grandmother, Bonnie Johnston; favorite great great aunt, Pearl Mitchell.
