Melissa Dawn Boston, age 49, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident, was born on Tuesday, October 31, 1972, to Kimmie and Gale (Webb) Redden, at Atoka, OK. Melissa passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at her home in Atoka, OK. She attended Harmony, Lane and Tushka Public Schools and graduated from Atoka High School in 1991. Melissa worked as a cook at Harmony School and was a personal care assistant. She married David Boston on Monday, July 8th, 1991 at Durant, OK. They celebrated 30 years of marriage before her passing. Melissa was baptized into the Baptist faith, later on she was affiliated with the Pentecostal faith. She was enjoyed camping, taking family trips, family gatherings and loved spoiling her grandchildren.
Melissa is survived by her husband, David Boston of the home in Atoka, OK; son, Jacob Boston and wife Deasarea of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Riayr Boston and Braylee Boston of Atoka, OK; sisters, Kimberly Carlson and husband Joshua of Atoka, OK, Tanya Stephens and husband Anthony of Durant, OK; father, Kimmie Redden and wife Dorothy of Kenefic, OK; aunts, Patricia Taylor of Caney, OK, Katherine Howard and husband Tom of Caney, OK, Sharon Gwin of Tulsa, OK; mother in law, Eva Gail Boston of Atoka, OK; sister in law, Kimberly Hampton and husband Marvin of Atoka, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Melissa was preceded in death by her mother, Gale Redden; granddaughter, Kynnlee Boston; father in law, Donald Boston.
