Obituary Melissa Ann Davis age 33, a longtime Caney area resident, was born on August 17, 1977, to Ben J. and Linda C. (Schibbelhut) Davis, at LaJunta, Co. Melissa passed away on July 26, 2011, at Denison, Tx. She attended grade school as a young girl in Sublette, Ks and High School in Russell, Ks. Melissa worked as the hospitality specialist at the Best Western. Melissa attended Voca Baptist Church. She was an avid fisherman. Melissa was an artist and loved making jewelry, scrapbooking, working jigsaw puzzles, and other mind bending puzzles. She had a wonderful and wicked sense of humor and a generous heart, even in her deepest troubles. She will be deeply missed by many. Melissa is survived by her daughter, Kylie Renae Height of the home in Caney, Ok.; parents, Linda C. Davis and Richard Long of Caney, Ok., Ben Davis and wife Cheryl of Russell, Ks.; brother, Mike Davis of Huntersville, Ks.; grandmother, Ruth Schibbelhut of Lakin, Ks.; uncles and aunts, Fred Davis and wife Rose of Pocatello, Id., John Davis and wife Linda of Lamar, Co., DeeDee Dudley and husband Bryce of Jackson, Wy., Deb Fowler of Sanford, Nc., Gail Turner and husband Ray of Hasty, Ca., Karen Priddy and Dennis Weeks of Liberal, Ks., Vera Moreland and husband Steve of Syracuse, Ks., Brenda Grusing and husband Damon of Lakin, Ks., Rhonda Grusing and husband Steve of Syracuse, Ks., Janel Kysar and husband Doug of Lakin, Ks., along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many dear and loved friends. Melissa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Katherine Davis, Fred C.
