OBITUARY

NAME: Michael "Mike" Duane Adair, age 77, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident.

BORN: He was born on Friday, November 25, 1938, to Joseph Lloyd and Esther Mae (Tony) Adair, at Atoka, OK.

PASSED AWAY: Mike passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Atoka, OK at his residence.

AGE: 77 years, 10 months and 29 days.

EDUCATION: He graduated from Atoka High School in 1957. He later attended SOSU and Kiamichi Vo-Tech to acquire his EMT and medic training.

MILITARY: Mike proudly served his country as First Sergeant in The Oklahoma National Guard from 1956 to 1998 (32 years) he then worked as a civilian for them for several years. Following his military career, Mike began a career in healthcare as an EMT and then Director of Atoka County EMS for many years. As well as serving as the Director of Atoka County Emergency Management.

MARRIED: He married Patricia L. (Withrow) on Friday, July 4th, 1958 at Poteau, OK. They had 58 wonderful years together.

CHURCH AFFILIATION, HOBBIES AND OTHER AFFILIATIONS: Mike was an integral part of establishing Harmony Fire Dept and was a volunteer fireman for 20 years, he enjoyed working with the Harmony Fire Dept and served as treasurer from founding of the fire department for 24 years. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Loved the outdoors and very skilled wood worker.

Cora Kenney of Rockwall, TX

Mars Temple of Rowlett, TX

BROTHER: Dennis Adair of Atoka, OK

SISTER IN LAW: Anita Reese of Shawnee, OK

NIECE: Valerie Adair of Denton, TX

NEPHEWS: Brad Adair of Oklahoma City, OK area

Joel Adair of Denton, TX

along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
