Michael Reece Golden, age 67, a Caney, OK resident, lifelong Atoka County resident. He was born on Friday, October 19, 1956, to Donald Reece and Phyllis Marie (VanConett) Golden, at Coalgate, OK. Michael passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at his home in Caney, OK surrounded by his loved ones. He graduated from Caney High School with the class of '75. Michael was a welder and a saw mill operator. He married Beth Ann (Rector) on Friday, June 9th, 2000 at DeQueen, AR. They celebrated nearly 24 years of marriage before his passing. Michael was of the Baptist Faith. He retired from Caney Fire Dept, enjoyed fishing, was an avid hunter, his favorite was noodling, was a professional instigator and loved pestering his family and friends.
Michael is survived by his wife, Beth Ann Golden of the home in Caney, OK; children, Heather Middleton and husband Scot of Bentley, OK, Lindsay Sutton and husband Steven of Dodd City, TX, Tamra Eagleberger and husband Dustin of Harmony, OK, Stevi Tarbet and husband Ashton of Bentley, OK, Taw Griggs and wife Heather (501) of Atoka, OK; fur baby, Gus; grandchildren, Andi and Ayden Middleton, Dawson Brawdy, Harlee Duncan, Finley  Sutton, Kaylee Sutton, Savage and Tinley Tarbet, Ridge, Alayna and Spencer Griggs; brother, Kenneth Roy Golden of Caney, OK; sister, Linda Greer and husband Roger of Sawyer, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Phyllis Marie (VanConett) Golden; sister, Julie Whitt and husband Jack; maternal grandparents, Mancille Lavern and Lucill (Cullen) VanConett; paternal grandparents, Granvill G. and Ella Joy Golden; fur babies, Bitsy and Sadie.
