Michael "Mike" Levoy Hook, age 67, a longtime Atoka, OK resident, was born on Saturday, November 17, 1951, to Thurman and Lena (Johnson) Hook, at Sacramento, CA.
Mike passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Atoka, OK. He attended Harmony Grade School, Baird, NM High School and graduated from Atoka High School in 1971.
Mike worked several years in the oil field when he was younger and then later owned his own mechanic shops. He was a master at mechanics. If it was broke, he could fix it. His favorite tools as he got older became duct tape and spray foam. Mike proudly served his country in The National Guard. He married Sharon Kay (Coats) on Sunday, December 5th, 1970 at Lane, OK. They had 33 wonderful years together before her passing on March 20, 2003.
Mike was a member of Blackjack Baptist Church. He was always pulling pranks (especially at Walmart) and telling jokes. He never missed a family gathering. He was the first to arrive and the first to leave. He was Google, Google Maps, and Ancestry.com of Atoka County before they existed. Mike enjoyed taking the scenic route anywhere he went and never got in a hurry. He enjoyed his grandkids activities, especially rodeos. He has traveled many miles across the United States on the rodeo trail, loved to listen to people, he just couldn't hear what anyone was saying. He will be missed by many.
Mike is survived by his daughters, Angie Frost and husband Cody of Lane, OK, Tami Haynie and husband Brian of Medford, OK, Mindy Flynn and husband Jamie of Tushka, OK; grandchildren, Stetson, Kelsi, Bryan, Will, Kenzie, Jaysik, Caleb, and Collin; great grandchildren, Rylee, Aiden and Harrison; brother, Kenneth Hook and wife Kelli of Quapaw, OK; nieces, Kandy Hook and Kasey Hook of Quapaw, OK; along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Lena (Johnson) Hook; wife, Sharon Kay Hook; grandson, Jacob Murray.
