Michael "Shane" Hughes, age 52, a Caney, OK resident was born on Monday, October 24, 1966, to Harold and Betty (McMichael) Hughes, at Atoka, OK. Shane passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Caney OK. He graduated from Caney High School. Shane was a residential and commercial construction worker. He married Annette Green on Thursday, December 11th, 2008 at Las Vegas, NV. They had 12 years together before his passing. Shane was of the baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting and fishing especially coon hunting and being with his daughters.

Shane is survived by his wife, Annette Hughes of Caney, OK; daughters, Shalyn Hughes of Caney, OK, Brandi Miller and husband Brad of Caney, OK, Jody Towes and husband Nate of Calera, OK; mother, Betty Hughes of Caney, OK; granddaughters, Jalie Miller of Caney, OK , Jersie Miller of Caney, OK, Cheyenne Daniel of Calera, OK, Blair Daniel of Calera, OK, Abby Towes of Calera, OK; grandson, Zeb Towes of Calera, OK,; half brothers; Jewel Hughes of Hugo, OK, Troy Hughes of Antlers, OK; uncle, Carl McMichael of Caney, OK; aunt, Bonnie Hall of Caney, OK; cousins, Michael Hall and wife Diane of Caney, OK, Michelle Ratcliff and husband Hank of Caney, OK; mother and father in law, Carl Green and wife Judy of Caney, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Shane is preceded in death by his father, Harold Hughes; brother, Wayne Lynn Hughes.
