Minnie Lee Clark, age 102, a Daisy, OK resident was raised in the Jumbo area and remained all her life on the farm. She was born on Thursday, May 12, 1921, to Major Holland and Minnie Golden (Powell) Whiteside, at Jumbo, OK .Minnie passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Daisy, OK. She graduated from Moyers High School with the class of 1940. Minnie was a housewife and homemaker, taught school for several years, and was an election worker. She married Franklin Theodore Clark on September 7, 1940 and celebrated almost 45 years together before his passing on January 7, 1985. Minnie attended McGee Valley Baptist Church, was a member of Adell Quilting Club, enjoyed gardening, quilting, fishing, working elections, canning her garden goods, raising cattle, and genealogy. Minnie was a fan of Louis L' Amour and maintained an extensive collection of his novels.
Minnie is survived by her grandchildren, Brian Dean Clark of Denver, CO, Chase Bradly Clark of Daisy, OK, Misty Lynn and husband Stephen of Clayton, OK, Michelle Lea Clark and Doug Knapp of Talihina, OK; great grandchildren, Kristen Lee Clark and Austin Herth of Tulsa, OK, Bendalyn Paige Clark of Daisy, OK, Bradley Dean Clark of Daisy, OK, Whitney Faith Butler of Clayton, OK, Samantha Lynn Butler of Clayton, OK, Jasper Dean Lowell Butler of Clayton, OK, Jace Devan Knapp of Talihina, OK, Conwy Lucian Knapp of Talihina, OK, Harper Mae Knapp of Talihina, OK; great great grandson, Jessi Herth; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, Major Holland and Minnie Golden (Powell) Whiteside; husband, Franklin Theodore Clark; sons, Jimmy Frank Clark, Tommy Dean Clark, Frankie Lee Clark; brothers, Bud Whiteside, Finnis Whiteside; sisters, Jimmi Tilton, Doris Northrip; grandson, James "Little Jim" F.
