Misty Dawn Henson

Misty Dawn (Salazar) Henson, age 48, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Tuesday, May 10, 1977, to Donald Davila and Marilyn Rae (Settlemire) Salazar, at Atoka, OK. Misty passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at her home in Atoka, OK. She graduated from Tushka High School and went on to attend College. Misty was a cashier at Town & County and previously has worked home health for Mays. She married Tyrell LaVaughn Henson. Misty was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children, especially her grandchildren, horse riding and being out in nature.

Misty is survived by her husband, Terry Henson of Stringtown, OK; daughters, Sierra Logue and husband Wayne of Atoka, OK, Destiny Howze and husband Tommy of Muse, OK, Alexis Cansler and husband Bryce of Bokchito, OK; parents, Don Salazar of Tushka, OK, Marilyn Salazar of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Liz Logue, Caison Logue, Tucker Logue, Micah Howze, Shepard Howze, Fischer Howze, Memri Cansler, Emma Cansler, Ella Cansler, Ezra Cansler; sisters, Donna Newman and husband John of Maybank, TX, Ginia Workman and husband Matt of Caney, OK, Crystal Bailey and husband Junior of Atoka, OK; brothers, Cody Salazar and wife Holly of Atoka, OK, Stetson Salazar and wife Kate of Atoka, OK; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.

Misty was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Salazar.
