Molly Francis (Bruce) Decker, age 87, a Ft. Worth, TX resident, formerly a lifelong Atoka resident, was born on Monday, February 15, 1932, to Elmuth and Ruth Gray (Upchurch) Bruce, at Ft. Worth, TX. Molly passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Bedford, TX. She attended Rattan, Lane, and Forrest Hill Grade Schools and graduated from Atoka High School in 1952. Molly was a secretary for a number of years at Indian Nation Wholesale and retired from Oklahoma Dept of Corrections at Mack Alford Correctional Center. She married Bobby Joe Decker on Wednesday, December 2nd, 1953 at Atoka, OK. He preceded her in death on November 12, 2016. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before his passing. Molly was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church in Hurst, Texas, attended Tushka Baptist Church and was a longtime member of Atoka First Baptist Church. She taught youth Sunday School classes and vacation Bible School. Molly was a member of Pink Iris Garden Club, loved gardening, shopping with Patsy Bruce, loved kids and teaching them, especially loved her grand, great grand, and great great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.
Molly is survived by her daughters, Patty Stone and husband Phil of Euless, TX, Mary Carlson of North Richland Hills, TX; grandchildren, Billy Carlson III and wife Cathy of Blue Mound, Tx, Karen Settlemire and husband Paul of Saginaw, TX, Jan Michael Stone of Watauga, TX; great grandchildren, Zac, Rachel, Sydnee and husband Angel, Kelly, Baylee and Beth; great great grandchildren, Jace, Haynie, Aiden, Jaxson, Bradleigh, Arabella; sister, Joyce Wilkie of Oklahoma City, OK; sister in law, Patsy Bruce of Atoka, OK; brother in law, Jim Decker and wife Donna of Edmond, OK; along with numerous and dearly loved nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Molly is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Decker; parents, Elmuth and Ruth Gray (Upchurch) Bruce; brother, Junior Bruce; son in law, B.J. Carlson; brother in law, Oscar Wilkie; sister in law, Del Elhai.
