Mona Christine (Thompson) Manion, age 77, an Atoka resident was born on November 6, 1941, to Eugene Wade and Alla Mildred (Bozarth) Thompson at Mesa, AZ. Mona passed away on May 31st, 2019 in Durant, OK.  She attended and graduated from Shafter School in California. She worked at the sewing plant in Coalgate and then  at one in Atoka. From there she worked for a daycare and then she worked for Noel's from 1980 to 1990 and worked for Sunshine for three years and then for Stringtown School for a while. She then went to work for Victory home health in 2002 to 2008 and worked for Redriver home health until 2013. Mona married Jack Manion on August 20, 1968 in Sherman, TX. Mona was of the Baptist Faith. She attended Stringtown First Baptist Church in Stringtown, OK.

Mona is survived by her daughters, Tina Releford and husband Ron of Atoka, OK, Rita Roberts of Atoka, OK; son  Leroy Manion of Holdenville, OK; daughters-in-law, Diana Manion of Carthlidge, MO, Kathy Manion of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, William Mosley, Ronnie Jack Releford, Jorja Releford, Brittany Releford, Hailey Aguinaga and Husband Luis, River Manion and wife Gloria, Matthew Shelton Manion, Tiffany Manion, Levi Roberts, Jason Manion & wife Alanna, Robin Mills & Husband Danny,  Nathan Heathcock, Scotty Ray Bicknell; great grandchildren,  Jentri Breger, Jesse James Breger, Landen Manion, Kolten Manion, Jaren Manion,  Daniel Chapman, Joseph Manion, Jack Manion, Morgan Fry,  Brooklyn Roberts, Kara Bicknell, Dalton Bicknell.

Mona is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Alla (Bozarth) Thompson, husband, Jack Manion; children, infant Mickey Manion; Marcus Manion, Christopher Manion; sister, Mae Nightengale; brothers, Stephen Paul Thompson, Billy Gene Thompson, paternal grandparents,  Charlie Lee and Dora Jean Thompson; maternal grandparents, William Filmore & Alma Lee Bozarth; Great Grandson, infant boy James Bates; son-in-law, Barry Robert; grandson, Skyler Manion.
