Myrle Gene Tomlinson, age 90, a longtime Boggy Depot, OK resident who worked in California for a while, was born on Sunday, January 3, 1932, to Jesse and Avola (Fink) Tomlinson, at Atoka, OK. Gene passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at his home in Boggy Depot, OK. He graduated from Tushka High School with the class of 1950. Gene was a rancher and worked for Shell Oil Co. for many years which he retired from. He married Hazel Lee (Stanley) in 1950 at Atoka. They celebrated 72 years of marriage before his passing. Gene was a member of Wards Chapel Baptist Church since 1988. He loved fishing, working, deer hunting and most of all spending time with his family.
Gene is survived by his wife, Hazel Lee Tomlinson of the home in Boggy Depot, OK; sons, Dale Tomlinson of Wards Chapel, OK, Ronald Glen Tomlinson of Boggy Depot, OK; nephew, Jimmy Coats of Tushka, OK; cousins, Jerry Stephens and wife Mae of Atoka, OK, Wayne Owens of Atoka, OK, Bobby Owens of Atoka, OK; along with other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Avola (Fink) Tomlinson; nephew, Marty Coats.
